Million Dollar Lottery Winner Explains Why She Still Collects Food Stamps

Amanda Clayton, pictured above with her million dollar lottery check, hit it big when she ‘played the numbers’ back in September 2011.
Clayton, a 24-year-old single mother of two, may have won $1 million in the Michigan state lottery, but she still receives $200 a month in food stamps!
It wasn’t long before someone snitched, and acting on a tip, Local 4 news in Detroit confronted Clayton about it and she attempted to explain, stating:

"I thought that they would cut me off, but since they didn’t, I thought maybe it was OK because I’m not working."
