Tribunal annuls Kebbi state governor's election

The election of  PDP Governor Saidu Dakingari  of Kebbi state has been annulled.Reports aid the tribunal ordered fresh elections to be conducted  within  90 days.Dakingari is an in law to late President Umaru Musa YarAdua.

Equally the tribunal sacked 4 members of the Kebbi  state House of Assembly.

It is expected he would appeal the verdict anytime soon. Governor Dakingari has been having a running battle with his political benefactor, ex Governor Adamu Aliero also  a  senator and former minister of the FCT  who decamped to the opposition Congress for Progressive Change, CPC before the last general elections.

The judgment sacking  the governor is major blow to PDP’s struggle to hold on to power in the face of the rise of CPC in Kebbi state.
